Happy 2020!

Happy 2020! One of my goals for this year is to reinvigorate Passports and Snacks. When I created the blog, I envisioned a beautiful scrapbook for my kids plus a resource for other families: a diary of my intrepid young family and our quests! So, when the reality of last year was messy and stressful, I couldn’t bring myself to put a rosy portrayal out there. It felt inauthentic and I didn’t feel intrepid at all; I felt overwhelmed!

It wasn’t until I put together a photo calendar that I saw how many incredible trips and moments we created in 2019. I remembered how much I used to enjoy writing about them. So here I am, minus the ideals of yesteryear, and with some dings in my armor, but hopeful for the year ahead. There are SO MANY trips for me to catch up on posting!

Excited to read about your adventures again!

Hey – small world story recently that I have you to thank for. I was attending a work conference a bit ago, and had a really good time hanging out with this physician I had met a few years ago, named Tom Lee–he lives in Boston, works for our survey vendor, and I think teaches at Harvard. I met him because he knows one of my business school professors, Leemore Dafny, who told him this story about how I wrangled my way into her super popular class at Kellogg after bidding was closed. And I tried to get into her class because of a random email from Matt, after he had taken her class and thought it was awesome. Anyway – that interaction was one of the better work moments I had last year, and I thought it was a fun chain of events, that started with you–so thank you!

Anyway – hope you all are doing well!

    Take care.
